Today - Monday, August 10, 2009 - I accidentally erased the first message Mike ever left me. I had saved it for over 4 1/2 years, only to have erased it in one split second. The commemorate it, I shall transcribe it here:

Hey Patricija (said incorrectly), it Mike. Just calling to say Merry Christmas, and see what you're up to since we haven't talked in like 2 WHOLE DAYS. You can call me on my cell xxx-xxx-xxxx or at my parent's house, since I don't have good reception, xxx-xxx-xxxx. Say hi to your mom and I'll talk to you soon.

That doesn't even do it justice! I loves ya Moku and I wish I had saved that message forever! MMmmmmmMMMmmwahsku!

On July 19th, we welcome a new little girl into our home. She is a black and white pomeranian and her name is Mischa. At her first vet visit she weighed 1.13 pounds. But she is full of energy, incredibly smart, and we are so glad to have her.

HARD AT WORK




TIRED AFTER A LONG DAY OF CAUSING TROUBLE

It has been awhile, but we have decided to return to the mid b-log.

We have moved to a new apartment. It is in the same building but it is infinitely better. It is a bedroom and a loft. With a skylight, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, tile (and NOT CARPET) in the bathroom, high ceilings, a tiny balcony, better layout, newer air conditioning and an awesome landlord.

A year and a half ago, Mike proposed to me. He asked my mom's permission and she was in on the whole thing. He got us a spa day to preoccupy us and he transformed the entire apartment. He hung curtains everywhere and lit candles. Every part of the apartment highlighted some aspect of our then three year relationship ... from the Waterfront Cafe, to Japan, to Izzy. I obviously said yes and we are currently planning our Spring 2010 destination wedding.
